A piece of Moroccan royalty is off the market.

The Beverly Hills home owned by Moulay Souleimane Cherkaoui, son of Princess Lalla Malika of Morocco, sold last week for $12.5 million to a family of Chinese real estate investors, The Real Deal has learned. The property was purchased as their second family home.

The Mediterranean-style estate on North Beverly Drive first hit the market in December 2016 with an asking price of $14 million.

The 7,020-square-foot home has five bedrooms, seven bathrooms and a newly remodeled kitchen with custom Italian cabinetry; Wolf, Bosch and Sub-Zero appliances; and a walk-in pantry.

The two-story home, which sits on about half an acre of land, was built in 1991.

Cherkaoui and his wife, Hind Hrida, purchased the home in 2008 for $7.3 million, according to property records.

Aouri Makhlouf of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage is the listing agent. Stephany Chen and Steven Dubin of Teles Properties represented the buyer.
