Luxury theatre company Studio Movie Grill has taken over the Krikorian Monrovia Cinema 12 & LFX theater in Old Town Monrovia at 410 S. Myrtle Avenue, Pasadena Star-News reported.
The theater, which won’t be open until early 2018, will offer reserved theater seats, a modern lounge and a full food and cocktail menu, served in-theater. Studio will preserve the historic feel of the Krikorian theater — as keep its employees.
The Texas-based company took over management on Sept. 1, according to Studio Movie Grill’s website.
Studio Movie Grill currently operates one other location in Simi Valley. It operates 27 theater across nine states and plans to add three more locations in 2018. [PSN] – Natalie Hoberman
