Pistol Pete is shooting for a $3 million profit on the sale of his L.A. pad.

Tennis ace Sampras and his wife, actress Bridgette Wilson, have listed their Brentwood home for $8.9 million. The couple bought the 6,900-square-foot home, once owned by Merv Griffin, for just $5.6 million in 2009.

The gated property, located on more than two acres, is surrounded by mature trees and is accessed via a long driveway. It has an open floor plan with custom two-story beamed ceilings, wood floors, a library that can be used as a screening room, a pool, and an outdoor kitchen.

The six-bedroom, seven-bathroom property, on Tuallitan Road, has a storied Hollywood history. Griffin sold it to Albert Brooks, of “Finding Nemo,” in 1992 for $3.65 million. Jordan Cohen of RE/MAX Olson & Assoc. has the listing.

Sampras and Wilson have owned some impressive Los Angeles real estate throughout their long marriage. They own two other homes near Stone Canyon Reservoir in Bel Air.

The couple has been married since 2000. They have two sons, Christian Charles Sampras and Ryan Nikolaos Sampras.

Sampras is best known as the world’s number one tennis player, having won 14 Grand Slams over the course of his career.
